Soybeans are considered an important part of the Japanese daily diet. It is enjoyed by both men and women in the family and believed to be essential for their health. Apart from its nutritional values, it has other health benefits as well.
It is assumed that the consumption of Soybeans accounts for the fact that Japanese women have been shown to have low rates of osteoporosis, breast cancer, and menopausal problems. Isoflavones found in soybeans that act as oestrogens, help in lowering pre-menstrual stress.
Not just for women, medical research shows that soya in one’s diet plays an important role in alleviating prostate cancer in men. It is one of the reasons why Japanese men have the lowest rate of prostate cancer in the world.
Japanese are known for their longevity and healthy lifestyle around the globe. Soy milk is definitely an add on to the list!
